FUN AT THE 2014 WVC
The Willamette Classic is about the EXPERIENCE you have in Corvallis. It’s not just about the volleyball for us, it’s everything surrounding the tournament that truly makes our event unique. Don’t miss out on the fun at the 2014 Willamette Volleyball Classic!
Check out the central tournament hub in the Truax Indoor Center. Numerous concessions with great food, tournament t-shirts, and more, not to mention a live DJ and a central tournament scoreboard. Also don't forget to check out the Asics booth.
This is your chance to win close to $5,000 worth of prizes and gifts. All you have to do is go out and visit our sponsor businesses. Take your tournament guide, get it stamped, and then bring it back to the Treasure Seek booth in Truax. The more businesses you visit, the more chances you have to win.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SHOWCASE
Oregon State will take on Seattle University in a spring exhibition match on Saturday night, at 7:30 PM on Gill Coliseum. Come out and see live collegiate volleyball action. Free admission, with a suggested donation of $1 at the door, with all proceeds benefitting the Corvallis Clinic's Project H.E.R., which supports breast cancer awareness and research.
MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SHOWCASE
A new addition in 2014, Oregon State's men's club team takes on Oregon in a Civil War battle at 6:30 PM on Friday night, May 9th, in Gill Coliseum. Admission is free. What better way to start off the WVC weekend with some high-flying men's volleyball action. If you're playing in the QOC on Friday night, come in before or after you're done playing!
QUEEN OF THE COURT
A great way for teams to warm-up prior to the tournament starting, Friday night at the WVC features the Queen of the Court event in Truax for the 14s, 16s, and 18s. The QOC is about fun ... and a costume contest. Don't forget that! Teams with the best costumes win a great prize from our sponsors. Don't be surprised to see the referees get involved too.
PINK OUT THE WVC ON MOTHER'S DAY
The WVC is special because it takes place on Mother's Day, and we feel Mother's Day is a great time to recognize numerous cancer awareness and research initiatives going on in our area. As part of this, we ask all of our teams to wear pink on Sunday.
