Will there be a waiting list for the tournament once it fills up?  How do I get my club/team on the waiting list?

Each of the four tournament divisional age groups – 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s – will have a waiting list.  Once each division fills up, teams that wish to register will be added to the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.  Teams wishing to be added to the waiting lists should contact Cody March by phone (541-737-7490) or e-mail.

What is the capacity of the tournament?  Can you add more courts to get more teams in the tournament?

The tournament capacity is established by age group, and no more than 180 teams will be entered into the tournament.  There will be 30 courts set up on OSU’s campus during the tournament.  Because we run 3-team pools, it means that 3 teams will be assigned to one court at any given time.  That’s 90 teams.  We run 2 waves with 90 teams in each wave, thus the 180-team maximum capacity.

We are absolutely maxed out on court space and cannot add any more courts to accommodate more teams.  This would involve facility costs, staffing costs, and court rental costs, that are above and beyond our current means.  We are looking at options for the 2011 WVC that can alleviate this problem.

Will there be a coaches meeting prior to the tournament starting?

Currently, we are not planning on an “official” coaches meeting prior to the tournament.  However, all coaches must check- in to the tournament at t designated check in area (Reser Stadium Concourse) prior to their first matches on Saturday.  Coaches may also check in on Friday night.  More information will be sent to coaches and club directors at the dates near.

Where can I park on the OSU Campus, and where can RV's park on campus?

Commuters can park anywhere on the OSU campus after 5:00 PM on Friday, May 7th.  Parking before that time will be subject to all rules and regulations established by Oregon State University Transit and Parking Services.  Permits may be purchased for cars parking on campus before this time at automated machines located in all parking areas.

RV's may park only in the lot directly south of Reser Stadium.  All RV’s will be required to purchase a parking permit from the Willamette Volleyball Classic for a one-time cost of $50.00.  RV’s parked outside of this lot, or parked without a permit, are subject to tow at the owner’s expense.

Cars and RV’s may NEVER park in a yellow or red zone, block fire lanes, block disabled patron access, or otherwise park illegally.  Cars doing so will be towed at the owner’s expense, and the tow can happen without prior notice to the owners.

When is the Mother's Day Brunch, how much does it cost, and where is it held?

The Mother’s Day Brunch will be on Sunday, May 9th, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, in the Reser Stadium Loge. Tickets are $20 each. Signs will point you in the right direction. Register online or download registration form.

Will athletic trainers be on site for injuries?  Will water be available?

Oregon State University Athletic Trainers will be on site and available at all tournament venues.  Athletic trainers will be the first responders in case of injuries.  These trainers will also provide ice to tournament participants as needed.  These trainers will NOT tape any participants unless the participants provide the tape necessary.  Water will be available to all participants in each venue.

What can we bring into each tournament facility?  Are coolers allowed?  What about chairs?

Absolutely no coolers will be allowed in any tournament venue.  Absolutely no food or drinks, except water, will be allowed in the playing area of Truax Indoor Center.

Chairs with padding on the bottom are allowed in Truax Indoor Center, Langton Hall, and McAlexander Fieldhouse.  Chairs are not allowed in Gill Coliseum or Dixon Recreation Center.
